Everson Farmers Market Fall 2026: Five Sundays to Go

For years I assumed the Everson farmers market was just the Everson farmers market: a produce table, a few crafters, maybe a food truck if the day was warm enough. The EN Valley Farmers Market runs every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Everson City Park on Lincoln Street, and it has done that since it started in June 2022 with a straightforward mission: get fresh, locally grown food to the community directly from the source. What most casual visitors miss is that the market layers a rotating theme on top of its regular vendor lineup, and that theme changes the entire feel of the day.

The first Sunday of the month is the Health and Wellness Market, built around vendors and activities focused on physical and mental wellbeing. The second Sunday is the Young Entrepreneurs Market, where any young person with something to sell gets a booth. The third Sunday is the Art Market, which trades one big seasonal art walk for a steady art presence every month instead. In 2026 those themed Sundays fell on May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2 and September 6 for Health and Wellness; May 10, June 14, July 12, August 9 and September 13 for Young Entrepreneurs; and May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16 and September 20 for Art Market.

What stays constant underneath all of that rotation is a small core of growers who show up nearly every week regardless of the theme. Sunset Farms, a first-generation family operation in Everson, brings pasture-raised chicken and duck eggs and produce grown with regenerative practices. Broad Leaf Farm, certified organic since 1996 and located just across the bridge in town, has been a fixture of the market's produce table since the beginning. Toad Lake Homestead, a hobby farm north of Lake Whatcom, rounds things out with soy-free, non-GMO eggs, local honey and starts for home gardens. Those three are the throughline. The theme is the variable.

The market also accepts SNAP and EBT, along with WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits, which matters in a town where the market's own stated purpose is getting local food to the community, not just to whoever happens to have cash on a Sunday morning.

Here's the part even longtime regulars won't recognize, because it has never existed before this year. This Sunday, August 30, the market is hosting its first-ever Renaissance Fair Market. It's not a replacement for one of the four standard rotating themes. August has five Sundays in 2026, and the market used the extra one to try something new instead of just repeating a theme early.

If you've been going every Sunday for years and think you know what an Everson market Sunday looks like, this one won't match your memory of any of them. It's the only Sunday on the 2026 calendar with no precedent to compare it to.

The Rest of the Weekend, Outside the Park Gates

The market is the anchor, but it's not the whole story of a late-summer Sunday in Everson. Drive out Hannegan Road and you'll hit Raspberry Ridge Golf Course and Grill, a public nine-hole course that's been open since 1984, built for a quick round rather than an all-day outing. The grill sits right on the course with a deck that looks out toward Mt. Baker, and it's open to golfers and non-golfers alike, which makes it one of the few spots in town where you can show up without a tee time and still get a table.

If wine is more your speed, Everson holds two working wineries within its small footprint: Samson Estates Winery and Mount Baker Vineyards and Winery. Neither is a destination in the way a Woodinville tasting room is, and that's part of the point. They're local operations serving a local crowd, not tour buses.

Back in the compact downtown, Main Street carries the rest of the weekend's texture. The Smokestack Diner, at 210 West Main Street, has built a following on breakfast standards and a menu that turns over often enough that regulars keep finding something new to order. Cafe 544 and Herb Niemann's Steakhouse round out a strip that's small by design but not thin. A local business directory lists well under 200 businesses in Everson total, and that same small footprint still supports two wineries, a golf course grill, a handful of sit-down restaurants, and a farmers market that reinvents itself weekly. That ratio is unusual for a town this size, and it's part of what gives Everson a sense of scale that doesn't match its population.

Why the Rotation Is the Point

It would be easy to read all of this as a list of things happening in a small town. But the actual pattern is more interesting than the list. A town of Everson's size doesn't need four different market identities to keep a weekly market alive. Plenty of towns this size run one steady format for an entire season and call it enough. Everson's market organizers built in variety on purpose, cycling through wellness, youth commerce, art and now a first-time Renaissance theme, across a single season that most people would treat as one undifferentiated summer.

That's the thing about a place like this. The value isn't that something big is happening.
